About the Chef At Maasa

Our chefs have earned experience in preparing delectable meals by serving in different restaurants and under mixed cuisine. Years of serving in the industry helped them keep their love and passion for the food and ingredients grow.

In 2017, Ricky (Chef Ritesh Khanna) went to Bangkok to work with 3 Michelin Star Restaurant, where he got an opportunity to make cuisines alongside top chefs in the world. He also worked with Chef Gaggan in a restaurant called- Gaggan. The restaurant was number 5 in the top 50 restaurants of the world gardens food. It was established as a very inspiring and simple restaurant mastering in serving garden-based food items.

Ricky was inspired by Bangkok’s unique culture, which was quite different from Melbourne. One of the core facts about Bangkok’s food culture that spurred Ricky’s passion for quick meals was the availability of freshly cooked food in Bangkok even at noon. These are commonly referred to as ‘Bangkok Street Food,’ and that class of food items changed his life. This exploration at Bangkok’s street led his career in the food industry with the sole aim to only cook for people who really appreciate food for what it is; a delicious blessing.
